These shafts were tapered and dipped about 12+ months ago. And the shafts themselves have been in our inventory for over 2 years so these are well aged!! Here's the problem - These are not first quality. Actually they are first quality with regard to straightness of grain and growth ring count. We call these 'BLEMS' as they have some blemishes such as poor cut from our tapering machine (doesn't matter as you're going to cut them anyway), some may have slight mineral specs and that's why we call them Blems. Others may be darker grained. If you don't need a 100% pristine shaft and don't mind a little mineral, and we do mean a little, then these shafts are for you. They're a bargain!! At this price you can't afford not to buy them! These are approximately .750 - .900 cones. These cones have been treated with Resolute™. Our stabilization and preservation process reduces shrinking of the wood in dry areas and it reduces swelling in humid areas. We also have these available in other tapers.
